The
dramatic peaks of El Morado National Park are less than 2 hours
from Santiago, at the end of the Cajón del Maipo. This
hiking tour is an excellent way to get out of the city and surround
yourself with Andean scenery. We begin our hike at Baños
Morales, heading toward Laguna El Morado. After a picnic lunch
here, we then continue up the trail until we arrive at the San
Francisco Glacier. Following
the same trail, we then head back to Baños Morales for
a rest and refreshments. We will then drive up to the Colinas
hot springs for a nice soak after our hike. This tour involves
6 hours of moderate hiking.

tour is available every day between the months of October and
May. We suggest the following itinerary, however we can adjust
this schedule according to your needs:
7:30
Departure from your hotel
8:30 Brief stop in San José del Maipo
10:00 Arrival in Baños Morales where we enter El Morado
National Park
10:00-12:00 Hiking to Laguna El Morado where we will stop for
lunch
12:30 - 1:30 Hiking to the lookout for Glacier San Francisco
1:30 - 4:30 Hiking down the trail to exit the Park
4:430-6:00 Visit to Banos Colinas Hot Springs
7:30 Return to your hotel in Santiago
