Everyday’s events and activities felt like they were specific to our particular interests and not part of a conventional “package.” And the food and wine were magnificent in city neighborhoods and out in the countryside. The personnel you selected as guides and drivers at each location were obviously well informed as well as most trustworthy. When the spouse of our companion couple was taken ill and required hospital treatment, you and your guides were with us every step of the way like family. There is so much more to see in your wonderful part of South America. We will be back soon!

It was altogether a wonderful tour! Our accommodations were varied and special---much better than we feel we might have found on our own. We enjoyed the locations of the hotels in both Santiago and Santa Cruz: in all, a wonderful variety. Our guides, Lujan and Jean, enhanced the trip tremendously. We cannot speak highly enough of them. They were knowledgable, congenial, and well attuned to our individual interests. We hope you will convey to them AGAIN our sincere appreciation. We enjoyed every aspect of the Argentine part of our trip. The drive over the mountains to Chile was breath-taking and well worth the 2 hour wait at the border crossing. We enjoyed the range of eateries you selected for us in Chile, from elegant dining salon to colorful cafes and the farm school. The wineries were amazingly varied as well. We would be hard pressed to pick one favorite. Again, thank you for a terrific tour.

Just wanted to drop you a line to compliment you on 2 of your tours that we recently took. My wife and I had the pleasure of hiking in La Campana National Park on July 20 with Martin LeBert. Mr. LeBert is a pleasant and very knowledgeable tour guide. On the way up La Campana we enjoyed his description of the flora, fauna, people and culture of Chile. The boxed lunch that you prepared was great and eating it on top of the mountain, overviewing the foggy valley and the neaby waterfall was truly one of the high points of our trip to Chile! On July 22 we had an equally wonderful experience on our tour of Valparaiso and Vina del Mar. Our guides were Edmundo, a very urbane, well travelled and personable guide from whom we learned much. His assistant and trainee was Johanna, who in our mind is ready to guide the tour on her own. Maxim, the driver was a cautious driver and also very friendly and considerate. Probably our favorite part of the Valparaiso tour was our lunch at Caruso's restaurant, a very pleasant restaurant with good food and wonderful local ambience. We had very lively conversation over lunch comparing our different cultures
Mr. Pearson, you are to be complimented for establishing such a great tour company which gave us such a nice taste of the many facets of the life and history of Chile during our brief one week stay. We had a great skiing, wine tasting and city tour. The staff at the Colorado Apart Hotel were very friendly provided great evening meals and daily service. Although we were a week too early for great skiing we still enjoyed our 4 days of skiing at El Colorado. The wine tour was fantastic and we learned alot about wine making in Chile. We tasted many different carmeneres, a grape only recently rediscovered in chile. Thanks to Brian and Victor for all the arrangements in a truely memorable vacation.

Brian Pearson set up a self-guided tour for me since a guide was not available that day. I said I would like to see the ocean, including some walks along the coast, and he did the rest. He arranged a car and driver, and defined an itinerary with specific directions. It was excellent. I was picked up at my hotel in the morning and dropped off at the airport in the evening. The itinerary included visits to the beaches and coastal resorts of Zapallar, Cachagua, and Maitencillo with a stop at La Campana National Park on the way to see some unique palm trees and landscapes. Once in the resort areas, there was beautiful walking on beaches as well as paved paths along the rocky coast. Even a glimpse of penguins on an offshore island. The car was quite new and the driver was a safe one and most polite and personable as well. It was a great way to see some beautiful parts of Chile outside the capital. While it would have even better with a guide, I could get along well in Spanish and had a wonderful time just the same.

Brian's enthusiasm and general knowledge of the area is remarkable and the repartee between us was friendly, familiar and instructive.I cannot imagine how he could have improved on or made this our first taste of Chilean culture or cuisine more enjoyable. He found a way to include in this tour a side trip to Parque Campagna for a brief hiking excursion into the lush palm groves. Beyond pleasant, this was a delightful day all the way around.

I thought the day was fantastic. After seeing the more commercial tour buses slog up the tight roads and wait for the last person to get their skis I was very excited to be faster to the lifts. Also, after a week of struggling to communicate in Spanish it was nice to spend the day without trying to translate my thoughts. It was cheaper to go with the tour bus, but much more personal, friendly and attentive with Santiago Adventures.

Parque La Campana is beautiful, an untapped secret which makes the hike more peaceful & private, lending the opportunity to design your day according to your own mood, be it reflective or adventureous or somewhere in between the two.
