2 - Casablanca Valley – Total miles 25 Departing
Santiago we drive in the direction of the coast and the Casablanca
Valley. Famed for its Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir,
the valley is a little taste of paradise right outside of Santiago.
A cool coastal breeze makes the climate ideal for cycling! For
lunch, you have front row seats at our gourmet picnic lunch overlooking
acres of lush vineyards. Returning to the hotel in the afternoon
there is time to relax and enjoy the pool before dinner in the
nearby restaurant and tasting room of the Morande Winery named
after Pablo Morande the pioneering Chilean wine maker who first

miles 26 and optional 16 miles after lunch
The valley is the nearest to the Pacific coast and ts cool climate
is excellent for producing white wines, pinot noirs and cool climate

Valley with a gentle climb into the mountains of the coastal range
where we enter the Rosario Valley belonging to the Matetic winery.
This is a fun route with a few miles of dirt roads before arriving
to their modern winery where you can stop in at the winery for
a tasting or keep heading down hill to the end of the valley where
we will meet up at their chic restaurant for lunch. |

restored Hacienda El Huique museum will take you back to Chilean

fathers the Errazuriz family produced two Chilean presidents who
were born in the sprawling 20.000 foot adobe mansion. Arrival

the valley making our last winery stop before arriving to the
town of San Fernando. From here another hour of gentel climbing
before arriving at Hacienda Los Lingues. A celebratory toast is
