The La Montaña Winery is home to the personal eight acre vineyard of Pérez Cruz winery owner Andres Perez, where he cultivates four varieties -- Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cot, and Petit Verdot. His very modest sized vineyard, considering the size of his 4,000 acre ranch, is surrounded by native Chilean forests.

Your tour begins with a morning departure from your hotel and a drive south along the foothills of the Andes. Your guide will will share with you some of the history of the Maipo Valley, the oldest and most famous of Chile’s wine valleys. More importantly you will hear about the exciting new boutique wineries emerging in in the region called the "Alto" Maipo or High Maipo.

Arriving at the winery you will be welcomed by your guide and learn about the winery and the day's activties. After a thorough safety briefing and fitting of all the necessary gear you will head off for a morning trek through the native forest with one of their very knowledgeable guides who can identify all the local trees and flowers. Arriving to the top of their zip line course you will descend 2,500 feet criss-crossing over a 150 foot ravine. Afterwards, your hosts bring you down to earth with the delicious La Montana blend paired with a traditional Chilean asado (barbeque).
