Depending
upon your interests and skill level, Julio will lead you in one
of several biking circuits they have developed on their private
reserve:
Basic
Level: The ride begins with a smooth climb over a wide
dirt path through the Fundo Guay Guay in Chicureo before heading
into the hills to take in the beautiful scenery of the Central
Valley. This trip has numerous ascents and descents of varying
degrees of difficulty depending on the skill level of the bikers.
Duration: 1 hour – 2.5 hours.
Intermediate
and Advanced Level: You’ll begin your journey with
an ascent on a single-track trail through the Fundo Guay Guay
towards the CONAF (Corporación Nacional Forestal) tower.
Next, you’ll ride over the Chincolante hills and cross over
toward the scenic Santa Sara fields. Depending on the weather
and skill level of the bikers in your group, you’ll have
the options for various excursions along the way. Duration: 1.5
to 2.5 hours.
Advanced
Level: The ride from Santa Martina en la Dehesa towards
Chicureo is a beautiful trip with moderate climbs and a long but
scenic downhill descent. This trek requires more skill, due to
the nature of the descent and length of the ride. Minimum duration
is 3 hours with possible extensions to ride further through the
Andean foothills. |
