Itinerary
Wine, Earth and Sea
Day
1 - Casablanca to Algarrobo
After a one hour drive from Santiago, and we will begin
our biking adventure from Viña Orgánicos Emiliana
where we will taste some of their renowned wines and get to
know their unique production process. The
enchanting town of Casablanca is our next stop to have lunch
and rest in the central Plaza de Armas. We will continue our
biking adventure to nearby Viña Casas del Bosque, a well
known winery in the Valley where we will stop to taste some
of their famous wines. To
top up an enchanting day we will bike our way to Algarrobo,
an old and elegant summer retreat with beautiful and calm white-sanded
beaches. Pedaling distance day 1: 29 miles approx. Easy route.
Day
2- Algarrobo to Quintay
We will ride our bikes to Tunquén, one of the
most spectacular beaches on the Central Coast of Chile. Two miles
of white sand, gentle slopes and an unparalelled landscape will
make Tunquén one of your most precious memories. From Tunquén
we will reach the old whale harbour of Quintay, today transformed
into an enchanting tourist place. There, along with the generous
wines of Chile, we can taste the magnificent "Caldillo de
Congrio" maybe recalling Pablo Neruda's famous Ode: "...and
to the table come, newly wed the savors of land and sea, that
in this dish you may know heaven." Pedaling
distance day 2: 22miles approx. Good physycal condition required.
